Incorporated in 1981, Main Logging is a private contract company offering services to the natural resources sector. A proud member of the Truck Loggers Association (TLA) and Avetta, Main Logging has been actively involved in promoting a sustainable industry in Western Canada and fostering communication between industry, communities and government.
Main Logging is active in a number of partnerships of various types. Terrace Timber Ltd. is a unionized logging company subsidiary owned by Main Logging Ltd. that has logged for Skeena Sawmill in the Terrace and Kitimat area. Main Logging has Joint Venture Logging relationships with First Nations in the Northwest and is active in harvesting and marketing BCTS timber licences.
With over 35 years of experience in the logging industry, Main Logging has the knowledge and capacity to work efficiently and meet production goals. The crew at Main Logging is skilled, knowledgeable and reliable.
Main Logging specializes in grapple yarding logging operations. The company works primarily on the steep and challenging terrain of Coastal BC. More recently, Main Logging has made the natural transition to land clearing and grubbing services, road building and equipment and truck rentals to better serve the oil and gas industry.
Main Logging specializes in full-phase grapple yarding logging operations in Coastal British Columbia. Grapple yarding is one of the safest and least invasive ways to access timber on the steep, wet terrain where high value timber is most abundant.
In recent years the company has capitalized on the changing needs of the region. Main Logging has made the natural transition to a number of services related to logging and oil and gas, including heavy equipment rental, land clearing and road building.
